━ my story

Looks great on paper.

Felt like a punch in the gut.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for two decades. I built a million-dollar brick and mortar business that sprouted up fast. I wrangled big name clients, showcased in New York City, and rocked it on camera in a national competition. Looks great on paper, right?

While people flipped through my work in magazines, I was having a hell of a time finding myself. I was exhausted, burned out, decisions felt heavy, and the pressure to deliver more felt less like success and more like a punch in the gut. Where was the person who loved her business? The curious leader who created beautiful experiences and had a ton of fun doing it?

That’s when it hit me: whether you run a small business or lead a big organization, everyone suffers when your capacity and clarity collapses. I got to work building tools and strategies to help myself and others protect their energy, build capacity and boundaries, and make better business decisions while they lead, work, or care for their people. Now on the stage and in the boardroom, I share these messy moments with leaders, teams, healthcare professionals, educators, business owners, military spouses and more.

No filters or masks: I’m grounded, honest, and practical. A little humour and sarcasm doesn’t hurt either. You don’t need more buzzwords, inspiration and theory. You need a plan and a reset in how you see your business, life, and relate to responsibility itself. That’s why I’m here. Are you ready?

How Mary Shows Up

No buzzwords. No theory. Just what works.

Grounded & Honest

Mary speaks from real experience, not theory. Every story, framework, and tool comes from twenty years of building, failing, and rebuilding in the real world.

Practical & Actionable

Audiences leave with tools they can use the following week, not inspiration that evaporates by Monday. Mary's talks are built for real people with real pressure.

Warm & Direct

Mary doesn't sugarcoat, but she also doesn't tear down. Her style blends honesty with warmth, and just enough sarcasm to keep the room awake and laughing.

━ The Journey

Twenty years of building something real.

Early 2000s

Built a Million-Dollar Business

Started and scaled a brick-and-mortar business from the ground up. Big name clients, national recognition, and a seat at tables most people only read about.

Mid Career

New York City & National Competition

Showcased work on a national stage. Appeared in magazines and on camera. From the outside, it looked like success. From the inside, something was breaking.

The Pivot

The Breaking Point That Changed Everything

Burnout forced a reckoning. Mary turned it into a framework, and a mission to help others before they hit the same wall.

Diagnosis

Living with Multiple Sclerosis

An MS diagnosis reshaped how Mary sees resilience and community, and deepened the message she brings to every stage.

Now

Speaker, Founder & MS Advocate

On stages across Canada, sharing hard won tools that help leaders perform without losing themselves. Founder, MS Nation Community Foundation.
